VoiceAge accentuates its presence in Japan

Voice compression pioneer turns to Japan Kyastem Co., LTD.
to promote its products

Tokyo, Tuesday, August 21st, 2001—Montreal-based VoiceAge Corporation today announced the terms of its business agreement with Japan Kyastem Co., LTD, a partnership that sees the Tokyo-based company become VoiceAge's commercial arm in this highly strategic market.

Under the terms of the multi-year contract, Kyastem will develop the voice compression market for VoiceAge's products, namely ACELP®.net, ACELP®.live, ACELP®.wide and related implementations currently being deployed in such areas as streaming applications, PAD, teleconferencing, and vocal chats.
