VoiceAge Upswing Confirmed
Montreal based Corporation gets notification for 5 additional
patents-inventions related to its wideband technology

Las Vegas, Nevada, Wednesday December 6th, 2000- Montréal based VoiceAge Corporation announced, on the second day of Communications Solutions Expo, that it had filed 5 additional patents-inventions for its wideband voice compression technology through the Patent Treaty Corporation (PTC) and just received notification confirming that all those new patents-inventions were patent compliant. These latest additions bring the total of VoiceAge's patents and pending patents to nearly a hundred in key markets.

This latest news is one more example that confirms the impressive first year of operation VoiceAge is having. While continuing to be active within standardization bodies such as: ITU, 3GPP and MPEG 4, VoiceAge also strives to accentuate its presence in the wireless and voice on the Internet industry through its ACELP® based proprietary solutions and value-added product Voice Shuttle™.

Sylvain Desjardins, President of VoiceAge qualified their first year in business in the following terms: "Most encouraging and highly promising ". He then added, "launching Voice Shuttle™, finding a market for all our proprietary products and being prepared for the 3G era, all of which in our first year, is an accomplishment we're all very proud of. VoiceAge's work force grew 4 fold over the last year, every addition to the team deserves a piece of this good news" Desjardins added.

One of VoiceAge's next move will consist of announcing the names of the partners it has selected to form the strategic alliance required to bolster its growth, the names will be made public at the end of the second quarter 2001. "We are currently analyzing numerous opportunities to assist us in securing and increasing our leadership in the voice compression industry applied to the wireless and voice on the net industries" concluded Mr. Desjardins.
